We are particularly interested in working with schools or other groups who have limited previous experience of international projects, in order to develop their capacity in this area.

Courses for Professionals

In addition to our programmes for young people, we also run tailor-made, interactive staff development programmes for professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and organisations, who are motivated by the challenge of working with young people, even though they may not have experienced this type of work before. Courses are also be open to teachers from schools and colleges wanting to extend their enrichment programmes, community outreach or other non-formal approaches.

The courses have four main objectives:

- To develop the team working, management and communication skills of participants and inspire them through working with young people in an international context.
- To increase the motivation and capability of staff from our clients and partner organisations to support young people on Momentum’s programmes.
- To grow the diverse teams of professionals who will run Momentum’s events and act as adult mentors in future, thus enabling our own operational expansion.
- To foster an organic, mutually beneficial relationship with our clients, partners and sponsors.

These courses are closely linked to our youth development work, and suitably qualified participants may be invited to join one of our teams running residential events for young people in the UK or overseas.
